As-salaamu 'alaykum. All praise is for Allah. Welcome to my webpage. I have joined the cyber world to add my humble contribution to propagation of Islam. You will find here many of my writings on Islam. This site will be updated regularly to include my other works, translations, articles, and my lecture notes, and books, insha allah.
My paradigm is based on Sunni orthodoxy as understood and practised by the the Prophet (s), his Companions, their Followers, and those who followed them in righteousness. My methodology entails the principle of adherence to proof (daleel) in the Islamic sciences and not blind following of schools of law or unfettered opinion.
No written work, however, is without mistakes. As one Muslim thinker eloquently put it: "Verily, I perceive that a person does not write a book today, except he says tomorrow: 'If I had changed this word, it would have been perfect. If I had increased this, it would have been better. If I had brought this forwarded, it would have been nicer. And if this was left out, it would have been more beautiful. . . .'"
I appreciate it therefore if readers can point out my mistakes, send me constructive comments and questions, and engage me in dialog on pertinent issues facing the Ummah or nation of Islam. No individual has all the right answers but collectively we can find many of the right answers, by the permission of our Lord.
Finally, I ask Allah to make this effort of mine a work solely for the pleasure of His glorious countenance and that He bless and guide all those who helped to make it possible. Ameen!
